Africa Sustainability Partners was engaged by Guinea Alumina Corporation (GAC) to support the transition and long-term sustainability of the Moyen Bafing Offset Project (MBOP), one of Guinea’s most strategic biodiversity conservation initiatives.
Working closely with GAC, government stakeholders and environmental partners, ASP provided senior-level advisory support to facilitate the transition of park management responsibilities, strengthen governance frameworks and ensure alignment with national environmental objectives.
The assignment included stakeholder engagement, regulatory coordination, transition planning, governance support and the development of practical implementation frameworks designed to ensure continuity and long-term success.
ASP successfully supported the finalization of strategic agreements between stakeholders, contributed to the transition planning process for the Moyen Bafing Offset Project and provided guidance on governance, compliance and environmental sustainability requirements.
The mission also included the preparation of operational guidelines, support for asset and contract transition processes, and assistance with documentation related to environmental and fiscal compliance initiatives. Through a collaborative approach, ASP helped establish a clear pathway for the continued management and protection of one of Guinea’s most important biodiversity assets.
